In August 1994, plaintiff homeowners noticed damage to their house in Encino. The damage consisted of water infiltrating interior through cracked slab of residence. The plaintiffs claimed that damage to their residence was caused by aftershocks that occurred after they had purchased earthquake insurance from defendant California Fair Plan Association.
