Facts

On January 12, 1994, Defendant Leila Ceran made a wide right turn allegedly due to Defendant Dianne Gately's parking partially in Ceran's driveway. Defendant Ceran's view was obstructed and Ceran collided with Plaintiff in a partially head-on collision. Plaintiff John C. Dorne was a 47-year-old woodworker, specializing in kitchen remodeling, at the time of the incident. Defendant Leila Ceran settled out. The case proceeded to trial against Defendant Gately only. Negligence per se instruction was given to the jury regarding Defendant Gately's blocking the driveway and parking by a red curb.
