Facts

On July 7, 1991, Plaintiff, a 46-year-old elementary school teacher, was a passenger in her husband's car as they drove down Ventura Boulevard in Encino. Defendant, who was driving parallel to them, made an unsafe lane change and collided with plaintiffs' automobile. Defendant was attempting to enter a driveway. Plaintiff driver was a 49-year-old dentist at the time.
