Facts

The plaintiff was a 21-year employee who had worked her way up to the controller position at the YMCA. The
plaintiff also managed the bingo program and was paid a wage supplement of $25,000. When the bingo
program closed, she took no action to cancel the additional compensation. When the general director, Ken
Stein, discovered this five months later, the plaintiff was terminated. Her final paycheck was withheld for
restitution, but the Labor Commissioner allowed the plaintiff to collect it.

Settlement Discussions

Prior to the decision on the defendantsÆ summary judgment motion, the plaintiff was offered $50,000.

Other Information

A week before trial, the summary judgment motion was granted in its entirety as to both the defendants.
