Facts

The claimant contended that she was a passenger in a vehicle stopped at an intersection when it was struck from
the rear by respondent Klingman at 25 mph. The claimant has a history of neck, back and head complaints and
had engaged in regular chiropractor care for six years to the auto accident.
On Oct. 10, 1998, the claimant sought chiropractor care from respondent Didomenico for injuries he suffered
in the accident with respondent Klingman. The claimant contended vision difficulty after some chiropractic
therapy in late January 1999 and early February 1999, but failed to report these symptoms to respondent
Didomenico.
On Feb. 3, 1999, the claimant became light-headed and dizzy after chiropractic therapy. On Feb. 4, 1999, the
claimant was admitted to hospital with a diagnosis of right vertebral artery dissection with a small right
cerebellar stroke.
The claimant sued respondent Klingman for injuries stemming from the auto accident and respondant
Didomenico for professional negligence.
The respondents denied all claims.

Settlement Discussions

The claimant demanded $1 million from respondent Didomenico and $100,000 from respondent Klingman. The respondent asked for defense verdict, but no greater than $125,000 from respondent Didomenico and $500 from respondent Klingman.
