Facts

Plaintiff Manjit Kanwal was a witness in a civil lawsuit involving defendant Amarjit Dhillon. The plaintiff claimed that in June 2002, the defendant and seven other men detained and battered him over the course of three hours. The plaintiff claimed that the group tried to influence his testimony. One week later, two of the men allegedly threatened the plaintiff and his family.

Injuries

The plaintiff claimed that he suffered chest pains and post-traumatic stress disorder. The defendants' experts testified that the results of plaintiff's personality test indicated that the plaintiff was falsely showing psychological harm.
