In September 2001, plaintiff Charlene Raffaelli, an airline flight attendant, was visiting the California Adventures attraction at Disneyland when she fell on a loose plastic tile. The plaintiff sued Walt Disney World Co., claiming negligent inspection and maintenance; Kiewit Pacific Co. Inc., claiming negligent installation; and Engineered Plastics Inc., the manufacturer of the tile, for representing that its tiles could be supported by the use of adhesives and fasteners.
