The plaintiffs were traveling southbound on Grand Avenue approaching the intersection of Washington Boulevard, traveling at approximately 30 mph when she heard a flash come from the left side and hit the vehicle she was in and ultimately spun the vehicle around. The defendant was traveling westbound on Washington Boulevard approaching the Grand Avenue when he began accelerating at the crosswalk to proceed through the intersection at a red light, directing his attention to the next intersection when his vehicle collided with the plaintiff's vehicle.
