Facts

Maria Gonzalez was a passenger in a car when a vehicle owned by Kevan Corbett and Jocelyn Berke struck the vehicle.

Gonzalez sued Corbett and Berke for motor vehicle negligence. She claimed that the defendants made a negligent right turn into her car.

Injuries

Gonzalez was a breast cancer survivor who had implants in both breasts. She claimed that the accident caused one of her implants to rupture and leak. As a result, she had to undergo surgery on her breast to remove the breast implant and tissue, and then insert a new implant.

Result

The parties settled for $44,000.
