The plaintiffs, Victor Castaneda and Carolina Chavez, claimed injuries from a two-vehicle
automobile accident which occurred on June 22, 1999 at the intersection of orange Grove Blvd.
and Worcester Ave. in Pasadena. The plaintiffs were in a 1984 Toyota Camry making a left turn
from southbound Worcester to eastbound Orange Grove Blvd. when they met the defendant,
Julie Ann Abbott, driving a 1998 Jaguar XJ8 and making a left turn from a driveway on the south
side of the street to go west on Orange Grove. The police report stated that both plaintiffs were
transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital by ambulance. The plaintiffÆs car was totaled.
