Facts

During the early part of 2001, the plaintiff was hired as a plastering subcontractor by the defendant to carry out
construction work at a restaurant located in West Hollywood.
The plaintiff was not paid by the defendant and sued to collect the invoice amount plus
interest and attorney fees.

Settlement Discussions

The parties entered into a stipulated judgment for $47,773 representing the aggregate of $23,885 damages and $23,888 in interest and attorney fees. The parties agreed that the plaintiff would accept the principle amount of $23,885, if it was paid on or before June 19, 2002.

Damages

$23,885 being the amount owing on the contrct, plus interest and attorney fees.
