Facts

Carolyn Greathouse, 37, was a bookkeeper. Greathouse was 240 pounds over her ideal body weight. She underwent Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery at UCSD Medical Center. Gerard Arcilla, a physiatrist, later treated Greathouse at a rehabilitation facility. Six months after she was discharged from that facility, Greathouse died.
