Facts
On Feb. 13, 2003, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the plaintiff was driving westbound on Terra Bella Street and was approaching the intersection with Laurel Canyon Boulevard. The co-defendant Tavera, an employee of the defendant Watermill Express Inc., was driving Watermill's vehicle northbound on Laurel Canyon Boulevard and was approaching the intersection with Terra Bella Street. With the traffic signal at green for westbound traffic on Terra Bella Street, the plaintiff entered the intersection when suddenly, and without warning, the defendants' vehicle ran the red light and collided with the plaintiff's vehicle, causing serious injuries and damages. The defendants denied liability and disputed medical treatment and expenses.
Settlement Discussions
After mediation with Alan B. Haber of ADR, the parties continued negotiations which resulted in the final settlement amount of $125,000.

Damages
The plaintiff's vehicle was a total loss and the damage suffered was $12,868.
Injuries
The plaintiff developed pain and stiffness to her neck, both shoulders, back pain, pain to left leg, fractured fifth finger right hand, loss of mobility, pain and stiffness to the right little finger, permanent deformity to the right little finger, pain to the right hand and pain and stiffness to the index finger, stress induced aggravation of diabetes, headache, insomnia, numbness in both toes, ringing in the ears, chest pain, nervousness, tension, loss of consciousness and depression.
