Rebekah Baharestan and Jena McIntyre brought a class action complaint against Venus Laboratories Inc. dba Earth Friendly Products Inc. relating to the labeling of certain Earth Friendly products as "natural."

Contentions

PLAINTIFFS' CONTENTIONS:
Plaintiffs contended that Earth Friendly manufactured, marketed and sold household cleaners and products that it misleadingly labeled as "natural" even though they contained non-natural ingredients.

Result

Earth Friendly agreed to pay up to $925,000 to settle the lawsuit. It also agreed to change its labeling and remove methylisothiazolinone, or MIT, from its products.
