Facts

On Oct. 30, 1995, plaintiff was driving on Chapman Ave in the city of Orange when she stopped at a stop light. While stopped at the light, the defendant struck her vehicle from behind. The parties pulled over to an alley way and defendant struck the plaintiff's vehicle again. There after, when plaintiff was exiting the vehicle defendant struck plaintiff's vehicle for a 3rd time. The plaintiff brought this action against the defendant based on a negligence theory of recovery.

Settlement Discussions

The plaintiff made a settlement demand for $ 85,000. The defendant made an initial settlement offer of $50,000.

Other Information

The settlement was reached approximately ten months after the case was filed.
