Lawsuits were filed against the state in response to former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's Executive Order ordering furloughs seeking to restore back pay for employees.
Result
The parties agreed to settle the matter, which was split in two. In one, California Attorneys, Administrative Law Judges and Hearing Offices in State Employment and Governor Jerry Brown agreed to end the furlough litigation. The other settlement was between CASE and five departments, which would provide payment of back wages.
