On Dec. 18, 1997, the plaintiff and Los Angeles Community College defendant entered into a written contract
whereby the plaintiff was to serve as general contractor for improvements related to the removal of
handicapped barriers at one of the colleges.
The plaintiff brought this action based on breach of contract and negligence theories of recovery.
