What prompted you to go into ADR?
As a trial lawyer I was always frustrated by non-productive activities common in litigation - meaningless discovery, motions without purpose, procedural "positioning" on silly things like the order and timing of depositions, etc. I wanted to be a problem-solver, not a problem creator, and I found that the role of neutral allowed me to have a big impact on the efficient and effective resolution of disputes in the interests o...
