Daily Journal: What childhood lessons helped you become a successful neutral?

Sommer: In my childhood, I seemed to have a natural bent toward peacemaking. There were a lot of kids on our block and we played every sport and did everything together. Conflict arose frequently. I would find a way to distract from the conflict and get them to agree on something. I remember enjoying the feeling of satisfaction when I was able to bring "peace to the block."
