LOS ANGELES - Growing up Jewish and raised in the temple, Harrison W. Sommer was trained to look at things critically, not just emotionally - similar to the way he later would evaluate cases as a lawyer.
So, when at age 32, he was confronted with questions about his personal beliefs, he applied the same investigative techniques.
The process led to his conversion to Christianity.
