Judge Terminates Partners Suit for Closing Outpost
Corporate finance lawyer Richard A. Shortz - who claimed he lost his job with Rogers & Wells when the New York firm pulled out of Los Angeles in February 1997 - cannot sue his former firm because his partnership was never terminated, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ruled in throwing out a $10 million lawsuit against the firm.
