Champion for children
Northridge non profit Child and Family Guidance Center honored attorney Valerie Vanaman of Newman Aaronson Vanaman at the "Champions for Children" 50th Anniversary Celebration on April 25 at the Sheraton Hotel in Universal City. Vanaman, who represents families and individuals in matters relating to special education and disability rights, was honored for her contribution to improving the lives of children and families in the San Fernando and Antelope valleys. "Valerie is a distinguished professional in her field, and her expertise, sound judgment and generous spirit have greatly benefited the Center and the people we serve," Roy Marshall, the center's president and CEO, said in a statement. - Alexandra Schwappach
