Greenberg Traurig gathers women for annual confab
Greenberg Traurig held its 6th Annual Women's Business Forum at The Beverly Hills Hotel on April 25. More than 150 guests, including firm clients, attended the invitation-only event for professional women to gather and discuss issues such as leadership, work-life balance and mentorship. The firm also presented its Diana P. Scott Integrity in Action Award to Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lee Smalley Edmon for her work in closing diversity and gender gaps. During lunch, Sharon Waxman, CEO and editor of Thewrap.com, interviewed 2009 Courage in Journalism Award Winner, journalist Agnès Tailé. Tailé, who left Cameroon for the U.S. after she was persecuted, abducted and beaten by the government for her reporting, continues to publish an online and weekly printed newspaper in Cameroon. - Jean Yung
