Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens honored by Center for Civic Mediation
The Center for Civic Mediation posthumously awarded the Louis M. Brown Conflict Prevention Award to the late U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens. The award was given in recognition of Stevens' public service in the Middle East and North Africa. In 2011, Stevens served as a special representative to the Libyan Transitional National Council, and he later served as the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, a position he held until his death in 2012. Stevens' parents accepted the award on his behalf. - Blake Edwards
