Honoring volunteers
The Bar Association of San Francisco's Justice and Diversity Center celebrated volunteers at an annual appreciation party on April 15. More than 200 people attended the event, which was held at the Louis B. Mayer Lounge at UC Hastings College of the Law. The event honored volunteers with the center's Legal Services and Diversity Educational Program. Those who helped pass out the awards included California Supreme Court Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye, San Francisco Superior Court Presiding Judge Cynthia Ming-mei Lee, judges Charlotte Walter Woolard and Ronald Quidachay of San Francisco Superior Court, U.S. District judges Claudia Wilken and Edward M. Chen of the state's Northern District, and Christopher Kerney of Keker & Van Nest, president of the Bar Association of San Francisco. — Jason Armstrong
