Washington Bar Requests Study Of Death Penalty
SEATTLE - Gov. Gary Locke has rejected a State Bar recommendation that he study the death penalty in Washington. Reaffirming his personal conviction that "the death penalty is an appropriate punishment for the most heinous murders committed by adults," Locke instead called on the Office of the Administrator for the Courts to direct such a study.
