Legal Aid Foundation hosts award dinner in Beverly Hills
The Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles held its 14th Annual Access to Justice Dinner on Nov. 14 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills. The event honored Advancement Project co-founders Stephen English, Molly Munger and Connie Rice with the 2012 Maynard Toll Award for Distinguished Public Service, and Proskauer Rose LLP received the Pro Bono Service Award for the firm's partnership with LAFLA's Unlawful Detainer Pro Bono Project to represent LAFLA clients facing homelessness due to unlawful eviction. Santa Monica councilman Bobby Shriver was presented the Access to Justice Award for his advocacy on behalf of homeless and disabled veterans in Los Angeles. Special guest Maria Shriver presented her brother, Bobby, with the award. -Connie Lopez
