LACBA hosts First Annual Armed Forces Ball
On Nov. 17, the Armed Forces Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA) hosted its first annual full military dress Armed Forces Ball at the Millennium Biltmore in Los Angeles to raise funds to support LACBA's veteran-specific legal programs. LACBA's Armed Forces Committee recognized veterans and attorneys who have made significant contributions to veterans serwvices, including United States Court of Appeals Judge Harry Pregerson; Public Counsel's Director of the Center for Veterans Advancement, Rick Little; Partner & Director of Pro Bono Services at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, Cristin Zeisler; and former LACBA President Alan Steinbrecher. Proceeds from the ball will support the training and deployment of pro bono attorneys working with veterans.
