Law Firm Embezzler Gets Prison Term

LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles woman who fled to England after she and her husband embezzled nearly $1 million from her employer, a Santa Monica law firm, has been sentenced to 15 months in federal prison.

        LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles woman who fled to England after she and her husband embezzled nearly $1 million from her employer, a Santa Monica law firm, has been sentenced to 15 months in federal prison.
        Anne E. Stacey, 46, also was ordered to pay the firm, Bailey & Marzano, restitution. Stacey's husband, Eric Harper, was sentenced earlier this month to 30 months behind bars.
