LA Law Library celebrates Pro Bono Week
In celebration of National Pro Bono Week, the LA Law Library presented a series of professional and social events this entire week and ending this evening. To kickoff the week's events, the library hosted a reception on Oct. 18 on its recently renovated front plaza. From Oct. 22-26, the library held workshops and training sessions led by different groups, including members of Public Counsel Law Center's pro bono panel, the Harriet Buhai Center for Family Law, Immigration Advocates Network, the National Association of Elected and Appointed Officials and the Asian Pacific American Legal Center. "This is a small token of appreciation for each and every individual who graciously donates their time, energy and legal expertise to our community," Marcia Koslov, executive director for the library said in a statement. -Connie Lopez
