Latina Lawyers Bar Association hosts Awards and Scholarships Gala
The Latina Lawyers Bar Association hosted its 15th Annual Awards and Scholarships Gala on Oct. 19 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Legal Aid Aid Foundation of Los Angeles managing attorney Ana M. Storey was installed as the organization's incoming president. LLBA presented the Mary V. Orozco Abriendo Caminos Award to retired Orange County Superior Court Judge Frances Muñoz; Senior Vice President and assistant general counsel for Univision Communications Inc. Glenda E. Martinez; and Executive Vice President, general counsel and secretary for McDonald's Corp. Gloria Santona. The Francisca Flores Community Service Award was given to Marielena Hincapie, executive director for National Immigration Law Center. The evening also included the awarding of scholarships to 10 California law school students. -Connie Lopez
