Court Seems Sensitive to Previous Deportees
SAN FRANCISCO - Expressing concern about limited due process protections, a federal appellate panel appeared sympathetic Friday to a constitutional challenge to 1997 Immigration and Naturalization Service regulations allowing summary deportation of aliens who were previous deportees but have since returned to the United States.
