Suspect Wounded, Charged in Assault of Lawyer

A suspected rapist who was shot and wounded by police shortly after assaulting a lawyer in her Beverly Glen-area home early New Year's Day was charged Monday with 14 felony counts including attempted murder, rape and forced oral copulation. People v. Lopez, BA196885.
