Brobeck Phleger: CREDENCE SYSTEMS ACQUIRES TMT FOR $80 MILLION

Deals: Fremont-based Credence Systems Corp. has acquired Sunnyvale's TMT Inc. in a cash and stock transaction valued at $80 million. Credence Systems manufactures automatic test equipment for the global semiconductor market. Its products can be used to test digital, mixed signal and nonvolatile memory semiconductors.
