By Nicholas Young The unification movement was first espoused nearly 100 years ago by legal theorist and educator Roscoe Pound in a speech before the American Bar Association when he attacked the "multiplicity of courts as characteristic of archaic law." Finally, California's trial court judiciary is correctly putting unification into practice. And although Californians may care little about consolidation, they will come to appreciate it when its efficiency becomes apparent.
