Entertainment firms join in revelry around Grammys
The 56th annual Grammy Awards came to Los Angeles Sunday, and a number of the city's law firms joined in the festivities by throwing pre-Grammy parties. Among them were Fox Rothschild LLP and Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP, which hosted clients and friends. Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp celebrated on the day of the awards ceremony at downtown Los Angeles' Figueroa Hotel. About 600 people came out for the event, which has become an annual tradition for the firm. Attendees included Tony Aguilera, chief legal officer at project management company ESI International Inc., and T. Warren Jackson, senior vice president, associate general counsel and chief ethics officer at DirecTV LLC. Fox Rothschild's Jan. 23 rooftop event at The London West Hollywood drew more than 300 entertainment professionals. It kicked off with a panel titled "The Legal and Business Issues Behind The Second Screen Experience," which featured speakers NeNe Leakes, a reality television actress; Benny Fine, one half of filmmaking duo The Fine Brothers; and Maria Pacheco, senior director of marketing for mobile games and apps at DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc. — Kylie Reynolds
