Court Picks Possible Grand Jury Members
LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday selected 50 prospective members for its 2001-2002 civil grand jury.
Using a scientifically recognized computerized process called Marsaglia, the court picked at random 40 prospective grand jurors and 10 prospective alternates from a list of 96 people. Presiding Judge James Bascue oversaw the proceeding in his courtroom.
