Kirkland & Ellis: INVESTMENT FIRM BUYS MACADAMIA NUT COMPANY

The Shansby Group has acquired the Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corp. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. The Shansby Group, based in San Francisco, is a private equity investment partnership focusing on companies with consumer brands. Its portfolio includes food companies, nutritional supplements, pharmaceuticals, personal care products and sports and leisure products.
