Inner City Law Center hosts awards luncheon

The Inner City Law Center, the sole provider of legal services in downtown Los Angeles' Skid Row, awarded its Humanitarian Award to Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP and firm partner Maggie Levy, noting Manatt has been "one of Inner City Law Center's most consistent and generous supporters." The firm has helped guide the organization's policy work, represented low-income tenants in housing issues, worked on behalf of veterans in benefits matters and fought discrimination against people with HIV. The luncheon, which brought together hundreds from the L.A. legal, business and civic communities, also honored former U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda L. Solis. — Ben Adlin
