High-profile panel discusses patent system

The Association of Business Trial Lawyers hosted a dinner Tuesday, June 18, featuring a panel that delved into recent developments in the U.S. patent system. The discussion held at the Four Seasons Hotel in East Palo Alto featured Cisco Systems Inc. Senior Vice President and General Counsel Mark Chandler; Intellectual Ventures co-founder and vice chairman Peter Detkin; U.S. District Judge Lucy H. Koh; and Chief Judge Randall R. Rader of the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP partner Edward R.
