Group recognizes 'women who inspire us'
The Southern California chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel hosted its 10th annual "ACColades: A salute to women who inspire us" event on June 6 at the Carondelet House in Los Angeles. This year's event, co-hosted by Hogan Lovells, honored Ann Reiss Lane, founder of Women Against Gun Violence, which educates the public, policymakers and the media about the human, financial and public health consequences of gun violence, and Lt. La'Shanda Jones, the first African-American female to fly U.S. Coast Guard helicopters and only the second black female aviator in Coast Guard history. — Ben Adlin
