Chief justice addresses Beverly Hills bar audience
On June 4, the Beverly Hills Bar Association held its annual Supreme Court Luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The justices of the state Supreme Court were honored, and Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye offered remarks on the challenges facing the court. The audience included more than 50 current and former judicial officers. Guest speaker Adam Winkler, a professor of constitutional law at UCLA, spoke about Second Amendment rights. In addition, the group honored the law school recipients of scholarships awarded by the Beverly Hills Bar Foundation. — Chase Scheinbaum
