Edmon and Burdge given Beacon of Justice Award
The Friends of the Los Angeles County Law Library presented their annual Beacon of Justice Award to Judge Lee Smalley Edmon, former presiding judge of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, and her husband, Richard J. Burdge, president of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. The two were honored with a dinner on April 3 at the Los Angeles Law Library. Speakers at the event included Susan L. Steinhauser, president of the library's board of trustees, Sandra J. Levin, the library's executive director, Justice Arthur Gilbert of the Second District Court of Appeal, and Beverly Hills attorney Paul R. Kiesel. -Blake Edwards
