Phillips Lerner hosts annual adoption benefit in Los Angeles
Family law firm Phillips Lerner ALC held its annual Adopt-A-Center event for the Los Angeles Youth Network at Lucky Strike, a bowling alley and lounge in downtown Los Angeles, on Oct. 27. The youth network serves runaway, foster and other youth ages 12-21 who are experiencing homelessness. It provides emergency, group and long-term housing; educational and enrichment programs that teach independent living skills; and other resources necessary for youth to lead productive lives. The group also operates a high school in partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District. Phillips Lerner has held the firm's Adopt-A-Center program since 1999 to aid local nonprofits that provide services to families and children. Each year the Adopt-A-Center program donates and raises money for the organizations, and attorneys and staff provide hands-on participation. To date, the program has assisted 14 separate nonprofit groups. — Ben Adlin
