Judges, politicians attend San Diego courthouse groundbreaking

A ceremonial groundbreaking for the new San Diego Central Courthouse was held March 10 at the corner of Union Street and C Street, drawing a host of bench officers and politicians with ties to the area. Among the judges who lifted shovels full of dirt at the site were California Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye, San Diego County Superior Court Presiding Judge David J. Danielsen and San Diego County Superior Court Judge Kenneth K. So. Also joining in the effort were San Diego County supervisors Dave Roberts, Dianne Jacob and Greg Cox; San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer; and San Diego City Council President Todd Gloria. — Ben Adlin
