Anti-Defamation League honors attorneys
The Anti-Defamation League held its annual Helene & Joseph Sherwood Prize for Combating Hate luncheon and awards ceremony on Mar. 12 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles. This year, the honorees included those who went above and beyond the call of duty to fight hatred and protect the community from hate-motivated violence. Honorees included law enforcement personnel, Deputy City Attorney Ayelet Feiman and Deputy District Attorney Dave Pomeroy. Feiman was honored for her involvement in the prosecution of the "Northridge Maple Syrup Swastika" case. Pomeroy was honored for the prosecution of a case involving a cross burning at the residence of a mixed-race family.
