Spero On December 10, 11, and 12, the drafters of the Uniform Mediation Act will be convening in Seaside, Calif. in a cooperative effort between the American Bar Association and the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws. This week's meeting should give both UMA drafters and critics an opportunity to discuss policy issues before the next draft is produced, as prior UMA drafts have come under considerable criticism in California.
