Bet Tzedek hosted its 38th Annual Dinner Gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on Jan. 26. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum was recognized for its efforts in helping to launch and support Bet Tzedek Legal Services’ Holocaust Survivors Justice Network. The program represents low-income Holocaust survivors pro bono in their claims for ghetto work compensation. Sara J. Bloomfield, director of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, was presented with the 2012 Rose L. Schiff Commitment to Justice Award. Bet Tzedek honorees included Volker J. Schmidt, attorney with Bet Tzedek Holocaust Survivors Services Project; Lisa D. Hoffman, attorney with Bet Tzedek Holocaust Survivors Services Project; Michael Sarid, western regional director; and Gary D. Roberts, past chair and current board member of Bet Tzedek and executive vice president and head of the Fox Group legal department.
