The California Diversity Council hosted its 3rd Annual California Diversity & Leadership Conference Feb. 2-3 at the UC Berkeley. The event featured keynote speakers Donna Brazile and Dr. Cornel West and announced the 2012 California Diversity & Leadership Conference award winners. This year’s theme, “Deconstructing the California Glass Ceiling,” focused on creating a solid network to facilitate career advancement. The event consisted of over 24 panel discussions, featuring topics like “Creating Your Success through Coaches, Mentors & Networks” and “Smart Women Take Smart Risks.” Panelists included executives from organizations like Gap, Inc., eBay, Cisco, TiVo and Google. The council also recognized award recipients for “Most Powerful and Influential Women of California”, “Multicultural Leadership” and “DiversityFIRST.”
