Class may get up to $72M over combusting seat warmers

A class of plaintiffs who sued Mercedes-Benz USA LLC over allegedly defective seat warmers is on the verge of securing a payout worth tens of millions of dollars after the parties tentatively agreed to a settlement.

A class of plaintiffs who sued Mercedes-Benz USA LLC over allegedly combusting seat warmers is on the verge of securing a payout worth tens of millions of dollars after the parties tentatively agreed to a settlement this week.

The luxury car manufacturer agreed to repair any of the estimated 270,000 vehicles that may have been affected by seat heaters that allegedly malfunctioned, producing smoke and fire.
